Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking Senior Systems Engineer with demonstrated wind turbine expertise to provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of NPI, RTS and strategic projects.
In your role, you will be responsible for system level trades and decisions, contribution to and approval of requirements and customer facing technical documents.
You will provide technical guidance and team support on product and program definition, as well as contributing to continuous improvement in product development processes from conceptualization to validation and certification.
As a Senior Engineer Systems Engineering you will :
Provide wind turbine system expertise through all phases of product development, from requirements definition through design and development, validation, and product life-cycle support
Oversee system conceptual design studies and trade-offs that address product CTQs such as cost, power performance, noise, reliability & operability
Establish design strategies, contribute to multi-generation system and technology plans in conjunction with Platform and Sub-system Managers
Effectively communicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences
Guide simplification and standardization of best practices into engineering analyses, validation, and design execution
Steer implementation of control technologies to mitigate mechanical loads & improve turbine power performance targeting LCOE reduction.
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related field.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Engineering or closely related field.
Expert knowledge on wind turbine component design criteria and wind turbine systems integration
Ability to break-down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making
Conceptual design and system-level trade-off experience
Field issues, test and / or validation experience
System or product-level mindset and experience in simultaneous engineering new product development processes.
Effective problem identification and solving ability.
Known ability to work in a cross-functional and global environment
Solid oral and written communication skills
