Located in the Madrid Head Office, the HR Intern will work directly with the regional HR Team and report directly to the Southwest Europe HR Manager, at International Paper (IP).
This position involves an exposure to a wide set of operational HR topics, such as Recruitment, Training & Development tasks, Data Administration on SAP, Reporting and communication among other HR topics.
The HR Intern can expect to gain insight into a wide range of HR topics, and acquire a deep understanding of HR processes and tools, through full participation in the day to day HR activities and processes.
Key Accountabilities :
Participation in Selection and Recruitment processes; through working on job descriptions, publishing on job portals, and conducting first screening interviews
Handling of regional communication messages
Data Administration on SAP, including conducting SAP audits and working together with the payroll specialists of the region to identify discrepancies and keep the recordings updated
HR reporting of data such as regional Headcount and regional Absenteeism
Coordination with the facilities and corresponding institutions the process of training grants
Training & Development initiatives and programs support
Support of HR Internal Control
Support of tracking and modifications Health & Life Insurances
Key Challenges :
Exposure to a big amount of information and need to learn on the fly
Prioritizing and organizing the day to day responsibilities
Ability to build good relationships with different stakeholders
Languages & other competencies
Fluency in Spanish and English is a must
Other European Languages will be valuable
Advanced level of Office ( Excel, word, PowerPoint, etc)
