The Team

The IT Senior Business Analyst plays a lead role within the Commercial Operations demand team. Together with the IT EMEA Commercial Operations Leader he / she acts as critical link between IT and Commercial Operations organization by identifying new business opportunities, ensuring commercial operations strategy and priorities are reflected in the business requirements and translated into suitable IT solutions by the technical experts.

As many implementations and changes to existing processes are managed as projects, the Senior Business Analyst will be responsible to lead small to medium-sized projects (including project budget and resources) and work with external vendors (e.g., consultants).

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities :

1. To drive the demand intake process for new business requirements

  • partner with CommOps stakeholders to prioritize the new demands,
  • analyze new requests or problems and provide the state of the art for IT solutions
  • track implementation status of approved demands and escalate when needed
  • communicate documented analysis and executive summary with IT recommendation
  • translate business requirements into suitable IT solutions
  • work closely with Delivery teams to ensure the best practice and support on high complexity tasks and facilitate the engagement during User Acceptance Test
  • 2. To lead and achieve successful IT Projects Delivery

  • Participate actively to document Feasibility Study and lead the approval process
  • Lead IT project implementation managing the planning, execution, communication and reporting with of the project
  • Follow global PMO process when managing the projects assigned in PlanView, prepare all PMO deliverables and organize the approvals, stage gate reviews and status reports
  • 3. To establish IT EMEA Applications Strategies for Commercial Operations

  • Map and document IT applications functions
  • Compare IT applications functions across current and future applications
  • Define IT EMEA Applications Strategies aligned with global ones
  • Proactively enforce security policies and monitor application performance to ensure operational excellence
  • Expected Areas of Competence

    We are looking for someone who :

    Professional experience :

  • Strong communication skill in both face-to-face and virtual settings, clear and concise both verbal and written
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with business users on all levels
  • Has strong analytical skills to be able to quickly identify underlying problems and design solutions to these problems
  • Able explain and present solutions to users and management and get their buy-in / approval
  • Can facilitate change and persuade users and management
  • Able to switch from high-level to hands-on when necessary
  • Have demonstrable extensive experience in managing remote resources and activities
  • Special expertise :

  • Good SAP knowledge of Sales, Distribution and Inventory Management including user interface and customization
  • Understanding of EDI / SAP / HIPAA Integration Projects including analysis, mapping, testing (e.g. EDIFACT messages : ORDERS, ORDCHG, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC)
  • Base use of automation and robotic tools such as Blue Prism, Open Span, UI Path, Nice, Automation or automation anywhere.
  • Is aware of the legal requirements and corporate guidelines concerning electronic data records
  • Languages :

  • Fluent English any other is a plus
  • Personal skills requirements :

  • Can work independently, set the right priorities, and is a self-starter
  • Is flexible of mind and willing to continuously learn requirements of other functional areas
  • Education / Experience Requirements

  • B.S. degree in business, computer science or information systems or 5-7 years equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience and understanding of commercial operations in sales, distribution and basic knowledge of Warehouse Management, shipping and Inventory counting applications (in Life Science is a plus)
  • Excellent project management skill (PMP Certification is a plus)
  • 20 - 25%
