Local Unit & Position Description

DNV's Markets & Transactions team is looking for a Quantitative Analysis Consultant , to follow the market activity growth.

DNV developed for its consulting activities a set of processes and tools for market intelligence, market modelling and energy trading analysis, using fundamental, statistical and artificial intelligence methods.

The position is based in Madrid and the responsibilities include :

  • Market Intelligence : big data, data mining, energy markets analysis, weekly reporting.
  • Electricity Day-ahead Market Price Modelling : Machine learning and optimization algorithms developments. Markets trends study (expansion plan, commodities).
  • Scenario analysis (climate, electrical vehicle, distributed and self-consumption). Medium- and long-term forecast. Webservice feeding.

    Position Qualifications

    To qualify, we need you to have :

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in industrial / electrical engineering, or applied mathematics, computer science with energy markets knowledge.
  • Up to a few years of relevant experience (including internships) within the quantitative analysis or energy markets domain.
  • Knowledge and experience with programming languages (Python, VBA) and SQL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
