Working closely with clients our Technology professionals provide application services, intelligent platform services, software engineering, and cloud, infrastructure and security services.

It also leads our R&D activities (Labs), our investments in emerging technologies (Ventures), and our ecosystem relationships.

We are looking for Unix / Linux Support Engineer for a client in Germany (the project will be manage remote, the employee will be located in any city of Spain)

Principal Tasks :

Provide the day to day administrative function and 2nd / 3rd levl support for Unix / Linux (RHEL, AIX, Oracle Solaris, Veritas Cluster, Solaris Cluster and Power HA).

Provide production support using monitoring tools like SCOM, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, etc.

Carry out regular software upgrades, ensuring that all fix packs are applied

Administer, maintain, deploy, and integrate Unix / Linux products - including installation and configuration of the manufacturer latest versions.

Advanced knowledge of Server, Cluster and Storage design.

Use of program languages for scripting like Ansible, Python, Bash.

Perform installation and deployment of security patches across the server environment while adhering to change control policies.

Provide on-call support on a regular base, 24 / 7.

Monitor and resolve trouble tickets within the required time frame.

Perform project and code migrations using automation tools.

Improve Monitoring metrics, where applicable.

REQUIEREMENTS

Knowledge required

Unix / Linux (RHEL, AIX, Solaris)

Clustering for Solaris Cluster, Power HA, Veritas Cluster

Scripting languages, Python, Bash, Ansible, Shell

Monitoring tools like SCOM, Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, etc.

Vmware, HyperV, AIX LPAR, Solaris LDOM

ITSM tools for services, like ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.

High english level. German optional.
