SmartPak is looking for a concept driven Senior Print and Digital Designer who stops at nothing to engage SmartPak customers in a meaningful way.
Someone who knocks it out of the park every day while remaining flexible in a fast-paced environment. Someone who is passionate about creating meaningful work and providing the leadership to bring it to life.
Someone who is eager to give design feedback and be a mentor to other designers on the team.
You will be working in a collaborative environment to produce materials across all channels, ranging from marketing campaigns to private label brand guidelines, to printed catalogs, to emails and banners, to social media posts and everything in between you name it, you’re going to create it.
You will work closely with the Creative Director, Art Director, Marketers, Copywriters and Merchants, to build fun, intuitive and polished marketing experiences that
do more than just sell we go all-out to delight our customers.
Essential Job Functions :
Work with the Marketing teams, Copywriters, Creative Director and Product Designer, to concept and produce on-brand creative for engaging print and digital media
Lead the charge in designing marketing campaigns and collateral that excites our customers about SmartPak private label brands
Transform abstract concepts into visually compelling designs with little direction
Mentor and manage a small team of designers caring for their professional and personal development including, defining clear goals, prioritizing work, and creating an environment that fosters collaboration, trust, and respect
Manage timelines and processes to meet deadlines
Provide senior-level design insights and best practices for the Creative team
Manage assigned projects and adhere to project timelines, effectively communicating project status to internal partners
Provide quality control on all completed projects to ensure design quality and production accuracy
Actively participate in Creative Department meetings and support the department in the development and implementation of new tools, systems and procedures

Adhere to brand guidelines
Bring a thoughtful eye and attention to detail to all projects
Stay up to date on design trends, production technology and brand marketing
Provide assistance with the general design / production needs of the department
Be a team player and collaborator who is flexible, able to work in a fast-paced,
ever-changing environment and open to feedback.
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or equivalent
4+ years’ experience designing catalogs and other marketing materials including emails and banners across all devices, preferably at an agency,
Photo shoot experience preferred
Critical, conceptual thinker with excellent attention to detail
Experience coding emails for modern web browsers across desktop and mobile preferred
Expert skills in InDesign and Photoshop and working knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite on a Mac platform
Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
1-2 years’ experience being a lead on a large project
Horse experience or experience in an enthusiast niche industry strongly preferred,
