Facilities Manager

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Instigating and utilising processes using the Mace Way and best practice in line with Macro’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring services are delivered that exceed the customers’ expectations and service level agreements.
  • Coordinating the daily activities of multidisciplinary team of 1 Macro staff on site and supply chain.
  • Managing the remedial works expeditiously and in full compliance with all appropriate legislation.
  • Guiding on customer care and providing assistance to service teams to ensure very high levels of customer satisfaction are delivered to all client staff.
  • Reporting of plant status and operational status of any facilities asset on a monthly basis to relevant parties at all levels, manages the delivery of information to Macro’s online reporting tool.
  • Studying the performance and professionalism of specialist suppliers, identifies alternative strategies where appropriate utilising latest best practice and innovative ideas.
  • Instigating continuous improvement in all service lines to drive value add and control costs.
  • Assisting the portfolio director in realising strategic level targets and goals.
  • Providing call out support and attending site at the weekend.
  • Carrying out regular inspections of records, to ensure that relevant statutory work is being completed in line with service contracts and national legislation.
  • Coordinating delivery of small office projects including moves management and churn.
  • Working closely and supporting the Macro teams to ensure that the same standards are being delivered across the portfolio and to share best practice.
  • Ensuring that the emergency response plan is updated and circulated.
  • Providing effective and professional guidance to a team of technical or FM professionals e.g. sets task deadlines, monitors performance and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Providing day to day HSSE management on site.
  • Working within approved budget and recommends potential cost savings.
  • Delivering small scale projects on behalf of the client.
  • Managing of the training database, reporting accident and Incident investigation, arranging of trainings for fire wardens and first aiders, arranging return to work and pregnancy assessments, updating the clients internal intranet site on HSSE matters, managing devise and promote wellbeing campaign, maintaining of site specific signage and communication points.
  • Performing any other duty as and when required.
  • The requirements

    Your experience, knowledge and skills need to include :

  • At least 2 years’ FM / contract management experience, including managing contracts and writing / operating processes and procedures and building budgets.
  • Experience of managing third party suppliers and stakeholder management.
  • Experience of managing third party suppliers and stakeholder management.
  • Experience raising POs and tracking expenditure.
  • Strong knowledge on developments in the FM market and can demonstrate a commitment to professional development.
  • Proven track record of managing small scale contracts, including multi-site operations, management of multi-disciplinary teams, commercial contract management, managing large budgets, implementation of various FM strategies.
  • Qualifications

  • A relevant degree qualification.
