In case the big news haven't reached you yet, the two big players in the food delivery business Just Eat and Takeaway.com are merging and therewith forming the worldwide biggest food delivery business (outside of China).

Due to the developments, we are looking for a HRBP in Madrid to join our international team. Both companies are sharing their success concepts with each other, which means that we're going to build new teams, re-think structures and processes and overall just work extremely closely together to make everything an even bigger success than it already is right now.

You will be the 1st HR in Spain locally in this new business unit ! It’s really about setting up a new team and a new business together with the management team.

As HR Business Partner, your role will be key to implement the HR structure and processes working closely with the global HR team, COEs and People Operations and to support the business growing fast.

All about the role :

In this position, you will be responsible for proactively steering all HR-related topics on your scope and supporting the business unit (Scoober) in your country.

You will have to :

In the 1st phase, work closely with Group HR Functions :

  • Support on the organization design and role definitions
  • Ensure the right structure is put in place to support the business in line with the group policies
  • Implement a recruitment, onboarding and training program strategy in collaboration with the COEs
  • Set-up the compensation & benefits schemes (compensation policy, bonus, health insurance, etc ) in line with the global standards
  • Implement the HR operations structure, processes and tools (payroll, people administrations, HRIS, ) closely with group HR functions
  • Implement any local compliance requirements such as Works Councils, collective agreements,
  • Besides of the project phase, your role will be to :

  • Represent HR (SPOC) and advertise HR Services in the organization (knowledge of services and current policies)
  • Incorporate HR goals (like streamlined performance management, engagement of personnel) into the daily agenda, aligned with business objectives
  • Work closely with organization’s managers assisting them in solving organization, people & change-related issues
  • Give honest feedback to coach managers and use feedback to improve HR services and procedures
  • Run the cross-functional HR related projects : opening new cities and preparing management, facilitating engagement survey, a contract change, improve the onboarding process
  • Be a key partner in all disciplinary processes
  • Identify personnel-relevant challenges, deal with trends within the industry, create solutions and implement them successfully
  • Report to the HR Manager in Amsterdam
  • Deliver (directly or via matrix management) all HR and payroll processes, data management, compliance and controls
  • Manage local Works Councils or Labor Law requirements to be locally compliant
  • Required skills and experience

  • Master's degree in Law and / or Business Administration
  • At least 8 years of work experience with relevant experience in HR (eg HR Business Partner or HR manager)
  • You have relevant experience in implementing HR related practices ideally in a fast-pace and growing environment.
  • You’re perfectly comfortable to navigate in an international and matrix environment
  • Very good knowledge of labor law in Spain
  • Flexibility and ability to handle and navigate changes with excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in the local language (Spanish) and English.
  • You are proactive, data-driven and can prioritize your tasks independently
  • Ability to work in a team and create a positive environment
  • You are able to build strong relationships and influence a variety of stakeholders within thе organization
