Your job

  • Contribute to the development and management of our life underwriting philosophy, technical standards, controls and practices.
  • Actively contribute ideas and work to develop new or enhanced products, systems, procedures and processes based on technical, customer and distributor insights.
  • Provides underwriting solutions to clients by partnering with them to identify unique, creative ways to solve their problems and improve their business results.
  • Create and execute quarterly and annual performance reviews.
  • Supports the identification and resolution of underwriting issues and implications on operational processes through data analytics to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Work in close collaboration with our Innovation team to understand overall organizational strategy and combine with specific analysis being completed in Underwriting.
  • Participate in the evaluation and development of new and existing life products
  • Champions use of technology within underwriting to enhance sales growth, efficiency and customer experience.
  • On a client specific basis, understand the explicit problem that each client is trying to solve in order to maximize the value on our underwriting offering.
  • Collect information aiming at conducting and maintaining comprehensive analysis on underwriting rules and market practice among insurers.
  • Your profile

  • Fluently bilingual English skills, both verbally and in writing. Other languages (Portuguese, Italian or German) is desirable.
  • 7+ years’ experience. Insurance knowledge is desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business. MBA is highly desired.
  • High technological knowledge and skills.
  • An energetic and goal oriented style, combined with well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills as demonstrated in general conversation, formal presentations and written documents.
  • Keen business acumen and problem solving skills.
  • Decisive, able to make tough decisions and to challenge appropriately.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness working under tight deadlines with multiple priorities.
  • Able to manage a number of diverse projects and coordinate the activities of others in a performance oriented culture.
  • Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable / accepted solutions.
  • Availability to Travel occasionally.
