Position overview :
Audit and Supplier Quality Manager EMEA will be responsible for ensuring the supply base delivers world class quality material and service to manufacturing plants and functions, and also for regular communication with all departments across regions on supplier quality, product approval, and compliance .
This role's responsibility will also be to to audit Head Office and plant Management Systems and to ensure plant compliance with Central Quality / EHS procedures.
Key responsibilities :
Ensure a supplier audit plan is in place and that corrective actions are implemented. The scope includes metal, Other Direct Materials, packaging, inks and equipment suppliers as well as external and third party studios for Graphics and Design.
Ensure the timely, high quality and appropriate application of the right tools for problem solving and risk management with suppliers (Kaizen, Single Point Lesson, 8D, Advanced Root Cause Analysis, DOE, and Escalation to Six Sigma Projects for supplier complaints, HFI, dimensional and non-dimensional defects and risk)
Ensure Quality KPIs are agreed and in place for supplier quality
Lead the quality element of Supplier Reviews (go to Sourcing and lead the review)
Lead quality improvement programmes with suppliers (8D Projects)
Ensure the Region has fully up-to-date EQPs for supplied products and services
Ensure change control procedures are followed at all times when it comes to supplied materials
Full understanding of Ball specifications and requirements, customer approval process for can, ends, coating requirements, specifications and application techniques
Comply with all manufacturing facility site H&S and Environmental requirements
Carry out an Internal Audit plan covering Head Office functions and plant Management systems, ensuring gaps in the system are identified and corrective actions implemented
Experience and skills required :
Technical Degree, MSc in Technical or Quality; ISO Auditor Certification
Operated at Quality Manager level in a manufacturing environment with experience in Supplier Quality and Supplier Development, Project management, Supplier relationships and Stakeholder management, Quality management system
Working knowledge of APQP
Strong analytical, numerical and statistical skills; able to use data and facts but also to rely on intuition
Computer literate and able to work alone or within a team under own initiative
Customer focus with developed problem solving skills
Able to grasp the business strategy and understand how quality can enable its delivery
Fluent in English both written and oral
