Commercial accumen

  • Is considered a point of contact by clients for fieldwork specific requests / questions, particularly on tracking and repeat studies
  • Supports Clients and the Business Excellence teams in generating repeat business opportunities through successful delivery of fieldwork on research projects
  • Is aware of and understands the job costing process and specifically knows where to find key figures relating to fieldwork, translations, agency costs, analysts etc
  • Inputs at pre-proposal brainstorm on feasibility, response rate optimisation and appropriate fieldwork partners, Is aware of and understands the job costing process and specifically knows where to find key figures relating to fieldwork, translations, agency costs, analysts etc
  • In response to client briefs, takes responsibility for producing suitable RFQs and feasibility assessment, liaising with field procurement researchers and advising the proposal writer from the client account team
  • Attends internal kick off meetings and client calls to advise on FW aspects
  • When working on tracking projects :
  • In collaboration with the FW procurement manager, and in the context of tracker developments and renewals, uses project experience to seek most cost competitive prices from FW partners
  • When inputting into proposals and kick off meetings, points out potential pitfalls and recommendations linked with tracking studies
  • Inputs into the creation and maintenance of SOPs relating to tracking / repeat studies, e.g. in the design and implementation of standard FW tracking spreadsheets and processes
  • Delivering excellence

  • Responsible for creating all the post commissioning relevant documents ( e.g. confirmation letters, study information sheets etc) & working with fieldwork suppliers to ensure that they have the appropriate resources & contingency plans in place in order to successfully complete the project objectives
  • In collaboration with researchers, contributes to reviewing the suitability of screeners, discussion guides and questionnaires, for survey specific purposes, liaising with FW vendors
  • Set up and lead briefing of f / w partners, therefore ensuring deep understanding and knowledge of all project fieldwork requirements
  • Responsible for setting expectations from FW agencies and holding them accountable throughout the project
  • Sole point of contact for translation management
  • Responsible for monitoring timelines relating to the programming of overwritten links and seeking input from researchers to avoid delays and errors
  • Responsible for advising and monitoring FW agency’s strategy / contingency plans e.g. screening criteria
  • Monitors fieldwork progress against study specifications and proactively handles fieldwork issues when they arise, suggesting potential actions that can be taken by the project team / client
  • Responsible for performing data checks daily, advising scripting team in case of technical issues, removing / resetting appropriate respondents
  • Responsible for overall data quality making sure that respondents are valid and respond to the quotas required
  • Responsible for deciding when to close online surveys
  • In the case of qualitative work, ensuring that the quality of the recruits and moderation exceeds expectations
  • Liaising with analyst and making sure that content analysis is delivered according to projects deadlines
  • Responsible for obtaining feedback from project team on the quality of analysts work, and ensuring this is communicated back to analyst as required.
  • When working on tracking projects
  • Ensures FW related learnings from previous waves are consolidated and shared with FW partners, to ensure optimal processes and cost control
  • When briefing FW partners, anticipates and flags recruitment challenges linked with tracking studies
  • Internal management

  • Manages fieldwork budget, reconciling all fieldwork costs received from agency / freelancers with those included in the job costing and Maconomy, and proactively communicates with researchers in the case of unexpected budget overrun
  • Requesting purchase orders for suppliers, verifying the accuracy of incoming fieldwork supplier invoices, ensuring timely payment of the same
  • Creation of all the relevant documentation (confirmation letters, POs, invoice review
  • Follows the audit checklist and the Kantar Health quality standard framework on every project
  • Is fully aware of and committed to project tasks / roles as assigned at the project kick off meeting and delivers on all of these
  • Consistently uses Traffic Live to assess available budgets per task, to record own workload in a timely manner, and proactively alerts line manager and resource manager of potential bottlenecks
  • Attends & contributes to project debriefs with Finance, Research lead & operational functions.
  • Developing self and others

  • Prioritises workload with minimal input from Line Manager / Research Manager / Business Excellence Director to ensure agreed deadlines are met
  • Develops own knowledge and personal skills in line with business requirements
  • Demonstrates maturity in the assessment of own learning and development needs
  • Awareness and relevant utilisation of internal experts i.e. Advanced Methods, Creative Impact Team, Client Consulting Team
  • Keeps abreast of developments in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Provides cover for Fieldwork Procurement Manager
  • Provides relevant training and thorough handover to project team ahead of any absence
  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications :

  • At least 4 years related work experience or completed higher education
  • Additional Information

    All employees must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
