UABOS : Spain - U.S. Customs and Agricultural Inspector
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including specialized inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of a work area to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrective action.
Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
Under strict supervision, develops skills and knowledge to determine degree of conformance of products to specifications.
Notifies quality management of significant problems; Assists in documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES :
Shall possess a current national agency check with no record of disciplinary action in the past twelve months from time of hire.
Shall have completed a U.S. Customs approved training course and received certification for appointment by the U.S. European Command Executive Agent for Customs.
Shall understand personal property and DOD cargo movement procedures and U.S. Customs entry requirements. Shall understand counseling and inspection techniques and the provisions of U.
S. Customs related directives. Possesses or has the ability to obtain a driver’s license IAW Host Nation laws, applicable AFI’s, or SOFA requirements.
Shall attend various DoD / EUCOM / AF training, conferences and symposiums to stay current on requirements. Shall be dual-hatted as the alternate Program Manager for the installation Military Customs and Border Clearance Agency Program (MCBCAP) (agricultural pre clearance).
This position shall be appointed in writing by the installation Commander after all requirements are met IAW DTR 4500.9, Part V.
Shall have two years coordinating personal property and DOD cargo movements, executing quality control processes, and performing U.S. Customs inspections.
