  • Develop strategic policies and programs for corporate travel, ensuring compliance in all aspects of travel procedures.
  • Work closely with the travel suppliers or account team responsible for activating each program to ensure the big picture goal of the program is met.
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding airlines and hotels. Negotiate contracts or rates with travel service providers.
  • Expert management of all travel tools (online agencies and others).
  • Lead the travel program consolidation in IE Offices, for consistency and organizational alignment.
  • Provide intensive training and resources regarding the selected online travel booking tool to all users.
  • Provide impeccable internal customer service to IE community as the main point of contact. Support on strategic directives and projects.
  • Advice on travel documents, insurance, risk assessment etc.
  • Manage the duty of care system for IE travellers.
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well. Ability to problem solve on behalf of the company.
  • Effectively and quickly intake, triage, and solve issues by engaging with the online agency operations team.
  • Deliver regular and ad hoc travel reporting to the Financial Department. Define performance KPIs and goals aligned with the business strategy.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and suppliers related to the activity. Propose improvements to raise awareness across sustainability to accelerate the journey toward more sustainable business practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement of travel programs and processes.
  • Self-assessment of the quality of service through surveys to internal customers.
  • Qualifications

  • Proven experience and expertise as Travel Manager with at least 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Business, or related field. Master’s degree would be a plus.
  • Advanced English and Spanish (oral and written).
  • Knowledge of international travel law, regulations and customs is highly desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of GDS, Online Booking tool, Travel & Expense tool.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience in working with multicultural teams, projects, and customers. Proactive and adaptable.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), negotiation and professional presentation skills.
  • An analytical mind with customer-oriented approach.
  • Experience managing and implementing travel programs and technology.
  • Highly driven and dedicated outlook which includes flexibility and a willingness to work outside of normal business hours when required.
