EU authorities continue to introduce new legislation that makes it challenging for Selling Partners to comply and do business across Europe.
In the last 24 months, the United Kingdom and Germany introduced legislations that held marketplaces jointly and severally liable for any unpaid VAT by Selling Partners.
This change in EU VAT landscape required Amazon to take the forefront on Selling Partners compliance starting with educating them on VAT compliance requirements in Europe to enabling them pick the right VAT solution and, ultimately, taking action in the case of non-compliance.
The person in this role will lead a team that supports Amazon Selling Partners that sell to EU customers become VAT compliance.
Summary of Responsibilities
Coordinate with global teams to communicate and train local teams on product / program launches to drive adoption and feedback.
Work closely with internal partner teams to create, refine and localize processes leading to operational efficiency and seller success.
Liaise with other departments as well as external parties such as, business teams, Program Managers, Global teams or Service Providers to resolve Seller’s issues and questions.
Establish strong relationships and trust by creating effective communications channels, and providing insightful solutions / analysis.
Demonstrates effective, clear and professional written and oral communication. Actively seeks solutions through logical reasoning and data interpretation skills and identifies trends to appropriate channel including improvement suggestion
Demonstrate ability to manage, encourage and develop team; drive multiple projects - work prioritization, planning and task delegation.
Maintains a positive and professional demeanor always portraying the company in a positive light and effectively managing sensitive issues.
Communicate clearly and professionally with senior leadership in reporting, delivering project updates, and handling escalations
9+ months of experience managing a group of 10 to 25 individuals
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar field
Proven ability to maintain composure in critical situations and communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders
