What does the job entail?

Aerial is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Sales Engineer with a proven track record supporting sales opportunities.

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Sales Engineer is responsible for is responsible for providing support to strategic customer accounts, supporting the sales team in building proposals, presenting technical product demonstration to prospected clients, providing technical training (web-based or live) to clients, gathering customer requirements, and acting as the bridge between the Sales, Marketing, Product, and R&D teams.

What you will do :

  • Support customers’ trials, proofs of concept, and pilots;
  • Communicate product value proposition;
  • Develop and present technical presentations;
  • Perform interactive technical product demonstrations and detailed training (on-site or web-based);
  • Clearly demonstrate technical functionalities and answer product related questions;
  • Technical support to the Sales, Marketing, Product, and R&D teams;
  • Pre and post-sales support including; development of solution proposals, solution deployment;
  • RFP technical response support;
  • Problem documentation / re-creation and issue escalation / resolution;
  • Participating in Engineering related activities (product testing, special projects, new features);
  • Understanding and documenting customers request for features;
  • Act as a single technical point of contact for strategic customer accounts;
  • Populate Aerial’s CRM with required customer information and activities for the assigned Territory.
  • Requirements

    What does the successful candidate "look like"?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications or equivalent desired;
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in sales engineering;
  • Versed in wireless and WiFi technology;
  • Extensive experience supporting technology products and services in the software, SaaS and / or wireless telecommunication sectors;
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to find non-standard solutions;
  • Demonstrated pro-activity, enthusiasm and self-directed abilities to thrive on challenges and fast growth;
  • Confident and persuasive when making technical presentations;
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management abilities;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both for building relationships with clients and effectively communicating with other members of the sales team;
  • Able to listen to the customer’s needs and concerns, and then recommend solutions;
  • Track record of performance excellence meeting or exceeding sales engineering objectives and expectations;
  • Outgoing and roll-up-the-sleeves personality to operate independently as well as within a collaborative team environment;
  • Ability to manage and prioritize assigned tasks in order to meet deadlines, highlighting risks;
  • Team player able to navigate the internal organization and leverage other teams in order to support trials, proofs of concept, and pilots as well as commitments to customers;
  • Proficiency with CRM-based software tools, preferably with;
  • Open to traveling anywhere within North America;
  • Fluent in English and Spanish language; French an Asset
  • High level of integrity.
