Position Description

QIAGEN serves more than 500,000 customers around the globe, all seeking insights from the building blocks of life DNA, RNA and proteins.

Our mission is to deliver Sample to Insight solutions enabling QIAGEN customers to unlock valuable molecular insights faster, better and more efficiently - from the raw biological sample to the final interpreted result.

To strengthen our team in Iberia, we are looking for Sales Application Specialist, to be base in Barcelona to drive and support the grow of the QIAGEN Molecular Diagnostics portfolio in Spain.

Main Responsabilities :

  • Technical support : new sales support, provide equipment demos, support customer throughout product lifecycle and provide customer product training as needed (e.
  • g. setting up instruments, training customers, troubleshoot and solve problems

  • Sales Revenues / Budgets : Meet / Exceed sales targets. Increasing sales by actively supporting to end users. Supporting other specialists and representatives and developing tactical plans to maximize revenues.
  • Responsible for full range of product portfolio

  • Business / Markets development : Support Customer Solution Managers in the development of new business opportunities Drive business development and increase demand of instrumentation and consumables
  • Customer focus : Maintain and develop relationships with key customers and references. Increase customer satisfaction
  • Information systems : Utilise the CRM database to input and provide information that will increase effectiveness in front of the customer and aid sales.
  • Position Requirements

  • Minimum education : Bachelor of Science, PhD or equivalent experience will be highly valued
  • Minimum 2.5+ years sales / commercial experience.
  • Proven track record (OTE) or laboratory experience.
  • Proven experience of relevant laboratory molecular techniques manipulation (PCR, DNA / RNA extraction, etc)
  • Knowledge of relevant markets.
  • travelling around 50% of the time
  • Personal Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills at all business levels.
  • Willingness to travel (50%).
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
