The Opportunity :
Reporting to the Regional Operation Manager, In this role you’ll :
Accurately gather and verify equipment inventory information (e.g. contract proofs, equipment additions, serial numbers, etc) related to the Enhanced Equipment Information (EEI) Program
Responsible for assessing equipment and composing photos for the EEI Program
Verify all equipment descriptions based on the Equipment Standards Manual
Identify and record all equipment components, accessories, and asset details
Perform visual inspection (e.g. wear points, damage, hour meter readings, etc) and functional testing (e.g. basic operations of the asset) on equipment related to the EEI Program
Assist the Sales Team with equipment appraisals
Responsible and accountable for quality assurance of equipment data input and associated information of inspected assets
Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is a top priority for all.
Here’s what you bring :
Experience equipment management (inspections, inventory, and appraisals) and / or inventory control management, preferably in the auction or heavy equipment business
A high school diploma with some post-secondary education is considered an asset
Intermediate proficiency level using current MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel)
Strong written, spoken, listening, and interpersonal communication skills in English
Experience operating heavy equipment would be ideal but is not required. Forklift certification is an asset
Proven ability to effectively interface with Sales and Operational teams, as well as customers. You must have a strong customer service orientation
You must be process-oriented, hands-on, and ready to roll up your sleeves to succeed in this role
Excellent organizational skills, you’re the type that leaves no detail unattended
You thrive on achieving results without ever sacrificing integrity
You are highly motivated, goal-oriented, and self-directed
Excellent time management skills, the ability to multi-task multiple projects and initiatives effectively, and prioritize work are essential.
Highly capable of meeting strict deadlines in a high-pressure, ever-changing environment. You must also have the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed.
You have a strong work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or your ability to have fun on the job.
This job will require you to :
Have a valid, clean driver’s license
Climb on and off large equipment and trucks
Work both indoors and outdoors year-round
Work regular overtime, including weekend hours, at the auction sales. You can expect to work extra hours for two weeks prior to each sale, during each sale, and for one week after each sale
Travel to other European auction sites if necessary.
