Job Summary: Sanford Federal is looking for an experienced OPERATIONS PLANNERwho shall begiving or obtaining information, resolving problems, relaying instructions, following up and coordinating work, advising personnel of requirements.

  • Requirements: The Candidate must meet the following requirements
  • Experience
  • Have a minimum of eight years of experience directly supporting the US military as either an active duty or reserve service member, US civil service employee, or contractor employee.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET (S) security clearance.
  • Must be Proficient in the using of Microsoft suite of tools to include Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Preferably have ten years US Military service experience in an operations department.
  • Have knowledge and experience with Joint and Navy planning process, as detailed in Joint Publication 5-0 and Naval Warfare Planning 5-01.
  • Have experience with Global Force Management.
  • Be familiarity with/experience in EUCOM/AFRICOM AORs. Previous tours in the EUCOM/AFRICOM AORs is preferred.
  • Licensure
  • Possess and maintain an active and valid US driver'™s license.
  • Posses a valid US passport.
  • Duties: the candidate will be responsible for:
  • Major Duties :
  •  Serves as an operations, exercise, and engagement planner to advance critical partnerships and planning initiatives. Personnel will integrate with staff units into exercises, engagements, and plans developed by Geographical Combatant Commanders, services components and subordinate commanders.
  •  Serves as advisor/consultant to the Operations Officer on planning issues.
  •  Serves as the action officer-level point of contact in all matters involving interpretation, formulation, and evaluation of executive policies and procedures for designated planning efforts. Ensures plans meet the intent of the Command's Strategy and Theater Campaign Plan for execution of joint crisis and/or contingency operations. Identifies potential conflicts and recommends resolutions.
  •  Ensures critical actions are handled properly within prescribed time lines and meets identified mission and planning requirements for operations, exercises, and engagements.
  •  Identifies planning issues and provides briefings as required.
  •  Serves as a point of contact for the status of assigned exercise, engagement, plans and issues identified as high priority items.
  •  Responsible for ensuring all levels of assigned exercise, engagement, plans and issues are synchronized both internally and externally.
  •  Responsible for the submission and dissemination of all products as required. Presents operations, exercise, and engagement plans and projects to higher CNE/CNA/C6F.
  •  Conducts and coordinates a variety of the internal and external personnel support or related requirements for Future and Current Operations.
  •  Responds to short notice emergent requirements and delivers quality, well researched products within suspense dates. Supports all missions, exercises, engagements, and tasking.
  •  Develops, assesses, and disseminate revised schedules, revised planning requirements and proposed staff priorities.
  •  Plans and evaluates requirements for additional resources then balances needs with overall mission requirements and resources. Receives input, consolidates, and submits cost estimates for operations, exercises, and engagements and submits to the proper department and/or authority.
  • Specialized Tasks:
  • Serve as lead planner for exercises and engagements as required.
  • Attend planning conferences as required.
  • Draft, submit, and brief the quarterly CTF 68 CONEMP to CTF 68 and C6F
  • Represent the N3 in the production of the assigned family of EUCOM and AFRICOM led planning efforts · Serve on OPTs as directed
  • Draft, review, edit and submit after action reports (AAR) as required.
  • Draft and submit command reports such as the command history report
  • Develop spreadsheets, charts and graphs
