As a Junior Sourcing Specialist , you will support in the design an appropriate methodology to achieve improved strategic sourcing across the organisation and drive execution of critical improvement opportunities related to the Marketing category sourcing.
Reporting to the Global Indirect Procurement Manager and working closely with the Global Lead Buyer, Marketing & Sales , you will contribute actively to the strategic transformation of the function and use your commercial & analytical insights to develop and implement a category plan, that will deliver long term value and efficiencies.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Wth the Global Lead Buyer guidance and support, you will lead and execute sourcing projects including strategy development, supplier negotiation (including pricing, contracts and payment terms), award recommendations, business case presentations, risk management and contract execution
Develop and deliver procurement savings plans on Marketing category in collaboration with stakeholders and Global Lead Buyer, ensuring quantifiable cashable efficiencies are identified, prioritised delivered and reported
Provide analysis and reporting tools to monitor and measure the effectiveness of sourcing and supplier activities
Deliver sustainable improvements in terms of cost, quality, service and innovation, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
Built a supplier base to increase the opportunity and deliver real alternatives to the Company.
Actively engage cross-functionally with commercial business leaders as a strategic partner to drive down lifecycle cost while enhancing customers' experience, product quality, increasing supply chain flexibility and productivity
Manage contract reviews ensuring contract performance is managed in line with KPI's and customer requirements are met or exceeded
Identify and resolve strategic supplier performance issues to ensure customer satisfaction
Evaluate historical and forecasted data on Marketing category of spend to help formulate a category plan
Ensure all purchased services required are appropriately negotiated and contracts bring competitive advantage to Almirall
Understand key cost drivers, market trends and best practices across key Marketing subcategories of spend to support assessment of cost and value.
Personal accountability for c.a. 6M€ spend.
Negotiate and influence collective forums (internal and external) to achieve the benefits of collaborative procurement
Work in a team and cross functional working when applicable
Exhibit excellent networking skills while managing suppliers
Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers partnering to solve problems and ensure high quality, reliable sources of supply and information.
Apply a collaborative approach to supplier relationship management
Educated to University degree in Economics and / or Marketing area.
Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Diploma full corporate membership (MCIPS), Level 6 Graduate Diploma or equivalent
Certifications in Digital Business & Marketing and / or Business executive Program
Good interpretation of EU Procurement legislation
Certifications such as Prince 2 and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma
Certifications in market research techniques (Pharma sector)
Junior Sourcing specialist with at least 1 year working experience on a Global Procurement Organization.( Marketing field desirable )
Educated to University degree (Business Administration & Economic)
Interpretation of EU Procurement legislation (desirable)
Significant experience of managing large suppliers and contract
Advanced MS Excel & PPT skills
Be up to date on contract language and legislative requirements
Fluent English is essential, other European languages are useful
