Due to company’s expansion as well as increasing number of projects managed from this department, it is therefore needed to increase resources in order to be able to handle the different projects and expand the footprint of the company in this area.
Roles of the position
Scope of Products : Non-Food consumer goods with main focus, knowledge and expertise in Electrical & Electronics, Hardlines, Toys, Construction & DIY
1. Perform maintenance of Global Regulatory Database :
Monitoring and perform compilation and classification of regulatory information in regulatory database tool : info provided by different sites or own researched (compilation, validation of information provided by different labs + upload into the system + control existing information to avoid duplicates,...).
Regulatory watch, input and update of information inside the database from different sources (official sources, newsletters, market access investigations,.
and in close cooperation with other team members and labs.
Regular info research regarding legislative updates in different markets / product ranges, including collection and research of information to be included in the database and coordination with different sites already performing regulatory watch.
Coordinate with different labs for product protocols generation and compilation of information.
Compilation and evaluation of specific needs of the different Business lines (in coordination and under specific supervision of International Regulatory Manager).
Training to internal teams about the tool.
In charge of regulatory updates for major markets where no need of local contacts with authorities is needed and where language barriers + official sources allow it -
To be done gradually in different steps by providing proper training from involved sites to this coordinator for releasing burden in updates of major markets.
For instance : EU, US, Canada ( Other countries : TBD at a later stage and according to evaluation of easyness of accessibility of local regulations) In coordination with other team members already doing these tasks.
Ensure that every new market / product in the system can be periodically updated by means of proper regulatory watch (in coordination with the rest of team members).
Contact and assess possible external partners (to provide both punctual regulatory information + regular updates in this) that would help on those markets not accessible for our department or our labs.
Collect information of actual external partners used by our labs to provide services in certain countries (i.e. Certification bodies or consultants in different countries for electrical consumer goods market access).
2. Market Access investigations
Help to increase and develop market access project for our labs to be able to properly serve new markets and expand footprint.
Investigation of new market access requirements by product range.This project consists in market access research by product category and country / region of the legal requirements necessary to introduce products in the corresponding market.
Research focused on : Legislation and standards applicable to the product; Authorities in charge of the products in the said market;
Required documentation; Check if Eurofins test reports are valid and accepted; Accreditation / approval process of laboratories;
List of approved laboratories.
3. Others : Other related tasks, as per assignment from the International Regulatory Manager.
Technical Degree (Engineering, ) or Law Degree
Preferably 2-4 years experience in Consumer Goods Quality Assurance position in the field of Electrical & Electronics, hardlines, toys, Construction & DIY (Retailer, import-
export companies, etc, )
Independent, proactive, eager to know and to expand knowledge in terms of regulatory awareness and access to new markets for consumer goods.
Team player and highly developed communication skills. Ability to quickly understand and process indications from Manager and to develop projects on his / her own in an independent way
Good knowledge and handling of Data Bases (i.e Access) and MS Office
English language level : ADVANCED-PROFICIENCY
Other languages : Spanish, French, German will be highly considered
