Position Description

Our mission is to deliver Sample to Insight solutions enabling QIAGEN customers to unlock valuable molecular insights faster, better and more efficiently -

from the raw biological sample to the final interpreted result.

To strengthen our team in Iberia, we are looking for an Account Manager to drive and grow sales for the QIAGEN Molecular Diagnostics portfolio in the central region of Spain.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Implementation of strategy in defined accounts in Molecular Diagnostics; maintenance and development of existing business growth to meet / exceed assigned sales target.
  • Drive and initiate development of new business opportunities by visiting customers regularly and selling the full portfolio of products in molecular diagnostics market;
  • Interact with customers predominantly Hospital Managers and Heads of Labs.

  • Accountable for representation of QIAGEN portfolio to customers.
  • Customer domain expert contact point builds solutions for customers.
  • Close coordination and alignment with Sales Manager, Application Specialists and Field Application Services.
  • Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Diagnostics Industry, preferable in Molecular Diagnostics, in sales covering the central region Spain.
  • Experience in Infectious Diseases and Pathology would be desirable.
  • Must live in Madrid.
  • University degree in Biological Science or related field.
  • Proven sales record that shows the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Personal Requirements

  • Willingness to travel around 40% of the time.
  • Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities and undertake challenging tasks and / or projects.
