DESCRIPCIÓN

The AMZL Central Operations Area Manager ensures positive interactions between Amazon drivers, third-party companies, and Amazon Operators and delivers on operational objectives /

Through the use of tools, management of a team of associates, and coordination with various partners, Area Managers are accountable for cost, customer experience, and delivery partner experience /

In addition, you will be instrumental in developing best practices and standard work for the network /

Area Manager AMZL Central Ops will serve as problem solver and primary escalation point for the team, provide periodic updates to Senior Managers about status of the operation or any major escalations, allocate labor and train new associates, drive continuous improvement into our operation, and enforce SOP compliance and SLA response times /

In this role, you will be :

  • Leading a team of Shift Managers and Associates on their day to day operations
  • Allocating staff and labor to match business needs
  • Manage schedule and shift changes
  • Train and mentor employees and peers
  • Instrumental in developing new standard work for the network based on data observations and feedback
  • Responsible for excellence in standard work and SOP compliance of SMs and Associates
  • Dedicated to support recruiting needs : interviews, phone screens, etc /
  • REQUISITOS BÁSICOS

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or 2+ years Amazon experience
  • 3+ years experience managing a team, in a production, distribution, central operations or similar environment
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
  • Experience with performance management
  • REQUISITOS DESEADOS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field
  • 4+ years of management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment /
  • Leader who exhibits that in every day work /
  • Not only experience in managing a team of 30+ employees, but also leading process improvements though Lean process, Kaizen, and Six Sigma

  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment, and when given a deadline ability to self-motivate
  • Competency in public speaking and writing papers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with analytical work and using data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions
  • Keenness to volunteer to lead projects and help team achieve goals; a track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Interest in developing a long-term career through assignments in multiple operational buildings
