About the Role

You'll take ownership for executing a strategic sales plan to expand our portfolio in the European Academic and Government markets.

You will work closely with cross-functional organisational teams to share and develop strategic customer insights and operational activities.

You will collaborate with a broad matrix of salespeople to sell our product suite to generate new business revenue.


  • Developing and executing a successful, holistic sales strategy to achieve new targets in your portfolio

  • Collaborating with cross-functional sales teams to coordinate and deliver plans and initiatives to generate new sales
  • Developing a compelling understanding of competitor landscapes to be able to position our solutions successfully and attractively against these
  • Advising and collaborating on different approaches, solution packaging and pricing proposals for our solutions in our designated territory
  • Identifying a network of significant and prominent thought leaders, institutions, domain societies and governmental influencers in key markets
  • Ensuring the transition of ownership of accounts and agreements to Account Managers and Customer Consultants to continue growth of portfolios
  • Providing continuous feedback to product and marketing teams by sharing customer development needs, enhancements and customized solutions
  • Requirements

  • Have a solid and proven successful background in sales and creating and delivering successful strategies
  • Demonstrate experience and knowledge in a complex solution sales approach utilising "Consultative Selling
  • Demonstrate excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences
  • Have excellent analytical skills and experience in using data to gain market knowledge and customer insight
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (Spanish or Italian are a plus) and you have the ability to engage and build relationships with customers
  • Have an excellent understanding of differing international business cultures and experience of working in a global-matrix organization
  • Be a motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and a customer-focused approach
  • Be able to travel to diverse locations to meet customers
