Traditionally, Conventional Radiology (CR) reporting has been part of the work being done in our three subspecialized elective sections (Body, MSK, Neuro).
But due to continuously high demand for CR reporting from our client hospitals, in combination with particular economic, technical and organisational challenges, we decided to create a dedicated CR unit, exclusively focused on optimising the reporting quality and productivity of this modality.
We are now looking for an experienced and talented radiologist, passionateabout CR reporting and interested in leading this new unit and building it out into a significant and profitable independent service line.
Mission and Organisational Context
As the leader of the CR Unityou will be responsible for a group of dedicated CR reporters. Your main mission is to assure that the referring clinicians of our client hospitals and their patients receive accurate, and highly actionable reports within the promised turn-around-time.
This reduces unnecessary suffering of patients and reduces treatment costs later on. The main challenge in this role is to balance the reporting capacity with the hospitals’ needs while assuring thehigh quality standardsthat TMC guarantees its clients.
You will dedicate about 20% of your time to these managerial tasks, the rest of the time you diagnose CR studies. TheCR Leadis supported by (we like this better than reports to ) Szabolcs Hetenyi, Medical Director Diagnostic Servicesat TMC.
Role and Responsibilities
Medical quality You will build a strong team of radiologists specialized and focused on CR reporting. You will be heavily involved in the recruitment and selection of these radiologists.
You will create a distinct set of test cases to guarantee that we hire only highly qualified professionals. After you have evaluated the test cases and hired a new team member, you take care of the onboarding.
You will teach new radiologists how to work in a way that the best reporting quality is guaranteed and reporting guidelines are being followed.
You will introduce structured reporting, templates for CR reporting and reporting guidelines to increase the quality of the reports and to help the CR team to work as efficient as possible.
You will produce a proposal for Quality Assurance in the CR section and manage the internal and external quality audits.
Work flow You assure that the workflow in the CR section is accurate and efficient and that the reports are delivered within the agreed turn-around-time.
You’re responsible for scheduling of the CR radiologists, together with the Capacity Management department.
Client contact You are the main contact person for our client hospitals for CR related issues. You handle incidents and request by clients to discuss reports.
Together with the Market department you proactively look for additional business opportunities.
CR reporting You diagnose CR studies, following TMC’s high quality standards and reporting guidelines.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills
Educational background A Medical Degree with a specialisation in radiology is a must.
Experience At least 10 years of experience as a Consultant Radiologist with a special focus on reporting CR’s.A minimum experience of 3 years in a leading position is a plus.
Language skills As TMC is a multinational and diverse company and our company language is English, you need to demonstrate an advanced level of written and spoken English.
Knowledge of a Scandinavian language (ideally Swedish) is a plus.
Independent, proactiveand resourceful You are an independent professional who moves ahead with little guidance and great proactivity.
You are resourceful and creative in finding ways to balance the reporting capacity and client needswhile guaranteeing the highest medical quality of the reports.
Team player As you will be working closely with your team members and with the Medical Department, team spirit and cooperation is essential for this position.
Independent problem solver We are a team and you will always be provided with the necessary support. Nevertheless, we are looking for a person who will be able to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects.

Communication skills You need to have a clear thought processand the ability to find appropriate vocabulary and a suitable style for different audiences, including internal and external clients.
