Job Description

Join Ecolab’s sales team as a Sales District Manager. Within our industry leading Institutional division, this outside sales offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the foodservice and hospitality industries.

As a District Manager you will manage a sales budget to achieve sales and expense budget. You will develop and lead a team of Territory Managers.

Within the team, you will be responsible for coordinating district initial services, ensuring service excellence, managing open routes, pursuing sales opportunities, and performing quality assurance visits.

Participating in recruiting, selecting, coaching and driving performance management is a vital component of the position.

You will play a lead role in retaining and growing existing customers by ensuring consistent service delivery and achieving district operating income objectives through ethical and sound business practices.

Inspire, motivate, and engage your team to achieve district goals and create shared ownership for success.

Territory to Cover : Canary Islands region

What You Will Do :

  • Manage district P&L to maximize profitability
  • Manage area business process to maximize route productivity and ensure consistent service delivery
  • Oversee a team of Territory Managers (individual development, motivation, assessment and feedback)
  • Effectively select, train, develop and coach service specialists with emphasis on customer retention, growing existing account add-on sales, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Fully understand Ecolab protocols and procedures to assure quality service and compliance with applicable regulations / laws
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelors’ degree with previous experience in the role
  • 5 years of experience in sales / marketing functions and in people management
  • Exceptional communication & organizational skills
  • Fluent level of Spanish and English
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Related industry experience
  • Experience managing a remote team
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
