You will work in a global team in an enterprise environment. So, you will have teammates in all regions (North- / South America, EMEA, Asia) that ensure that our solutions are working worldwide and fit to regional specifics.
The team is globally responsible for all workspace devices in BASF (Computers & Smartphones). You will responsible as Application Owner and Technical Contact for standard applications that are used by thousands of users.
As second level support we provide solutions for our service desk analysts (first level support) and solve problems with our vendors (third level support - e.
g. Microsoft, Google, Adobe, Apple, Samsung, HP, Dell).
Further development of our workspace environment : Implementation of new technologies and the evergreen approach of our vendors.
Role specific activities (what is expected of you) :
Solution Architecture for globally
100.000 Windows PCs and >
Evaluation of new software / software versions.
Evaluation of new technologies; replacement of outdated technologies.
Perform user acceptance tests together with Internal Business Partners.
Workstream lead for Merger & Acquisition and Carve Out projects.
You analyse and solve complex incidents as well as technical malfunctions and advise users in the event of problems.
By using the documentation and quality assurance tools, you actively tackle the root cause analysis of malfunctions and problems and solve them effectively.
Provide documentations for first level support (1 / 1.5) to solve issues, implement work around and finally fix them to reduce the number of incidents in general.
In close cooperation with key players within and outside the team as well as with our external providers, you will coordinate the provision of services considering agreed service level agreements (e.
g. reaction times, solution times, availability, readiness).
As a competent contact person, you will ensure the further development of expertise within our DevOps team.
Required (Education, Additional Qualifications and experience) :
Business Consulting / Technical Consulting skills.
Strong analytical thinking and structured mindset.
Write and rework technical documentations.
You can demonstrate your communication skills in English.
Readiness and ability to work independently and global team members.

Highly developed team skills.
Additional qualification is desirable, e.g. Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE).
