Finance Analyst - Credit & Collection
The following position is is open in Madrid, Spain.
What makes this a great opportunity?
Position Mission :
Maximize Beam Suntory International’s cash flow and liquidity proactively managing collections to minimize overdues and eliminate any risk of loss.
Accountable for BU / market / portfolio credit process, including the consistent application of the Global Credit Policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers.
Ensure customers’ accounts are current and follow up with relevant party to make sure that aged items are properly documented, escalated and resolved over time.

As a Team member of the Credit & Collection team, he / she will :
Maintain independence and separation between International markets and the application of the Global Credit Policy. Abide by the policy always.
Recommend changes to Credit Leaders as the business rapidly evolves in terms of geographies, routes to market and complexity.
Help ensure standardization globally.
Participate to regional and global projects where required.
Provide ongoing training to market-based teams, particularly Commercial.
Maintain customer credit files, monitor the credit granting / updating process. Propose credit a timely manner. Escalate issues promptly where required to Credit Leaders.
Manage customers’ receivables in conjunctions with A&P.
Cooperate with collection agencies, credit reporting agencies and credit insurance providers
Create relations with the market-based Analysts, Commercial Leaders, KAMs, Finance Directors and any other key stakeholders across multiple locations.
Influence Credit leadership with transformational agendas, fostering change and implementation of best practice.
Support internal and external audits as needed and help maintain a solid control environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications & Experience
5 years finance experience or business finance / accounting / controlling / Credit experience gained in a multinational environment, preferably US large corporations.
Degree and / or Master’s in Finance / Accounting / Business.
Prior hands-on experience on any of general ledger, receivables, payables, inventories, fixed assets, etc., will be considered an advantage.
Multicultural, open to deal with diverse stakeholders as well as ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
Exceptional Team player.
Any offshore and / or emerging markets prior experience will be a clear advantage.
Fluent in English. Other languages, such as German, French will be a clear advantage.
