As Director of Content Sourcing you will be accountable for developing and implementing the strategy for the Content Ingestion and sourcing across Clarivate in close collaboration with all leadership levels in the Content Operations and the wider business units across all our strategic locations.

As a Content Operations Leadership Team member, you play an integral role in the Clarivate Analytics Content Operations functions and the business’ strategic direction, development and future growth.

You will actively participate as a key business partner in the development of new and existing content, technology strategies and solutions that align with the business and operational goals of Clarivate Analytics, and create a culture focused on execution, delivery and performance

Duties and responsibilities :

  • Set and execute a clear Content sourcing, ingest and management strategy, including development and operational standards and SLAs that create a robust set of processes (manual and automated) for all inputs to Clarivate’s Content ecosystem
  • Play a key leadership role on major decisions and initiatives in a manner that will enable the Content Function to achieve its long-term objectives
  • Work with all existing sourcing processes, colleagues and tools to plan an effective transition to a single portal to ingest Clarivate base Content
  • Work cross functionally and form and manage strategic relationship with various product owners and stakeholders across the entire company including but not limited to Product Management, Analytics, Technology Operations, Development, Program and Quality Management and vendors
  • Work with the various governance functions across Clarivate to ensure that the rights are effectively managed across our data sources
  • Identify and deploy best in class tools to enable effective collection and dissemination of data / content sources
  • Establish a dynamic management structure capable of change for a new key organizational vertical in a fast moving, matrixed environment
  • Act with velocity and focus to promote the services of the Content organization and determine how business partners / customers can leverage its expertise / tools including any mergers and / or acquired companies
  • Create a culture that is focused on execution and performance
  • Communicate key initiatives to senior management, set timelines and manage expectations for all deliverables and releases
  • Attract, develop and retain top talent to build a customer-focused Content Sourcing organization and develop an environment which stimulates innovation
  • Anticipate and react to major industry and technology changes to ensure the continued company leadership in this competitive landscape
  • Participate in establishing technical standards and adherence to them for product development and company operations
  • Help define and manage the departmental budget for all expenditures and headcount
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required :

  • Ability to roll up sleeves and lead the team from front, a strategic thinker
  • At least 10+ years’ experience in a global corporate setting; with a minimum of 8 years at a management leadership level;
  • with extensive technical and leadership skills.

  • Excellent leadership, collaboration and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and persuasively with senior management in different geographies to drive efficiency.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to present in a consistent and relevant manner and care for quality and accuracy
  • Excellent project management skills, and skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making to achieve organizational objectives, with ability to quickly problem solve and facilitate solutions.
  • Strong teaming, and analytical capabilities with the ability to operate independently, inspire change across functions, and deliver results
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and delivery preferred
