In a Squad,the members (from 5 to 9) all sit together to design, develop, test, andrelease to production a valuable software.
In the Squad, the Product Ownerpriorities the work.
The Tribeis a collection of Squads (limited to 100 people) that work in related areas.
The Chapteris a transversal regroupment by similar skills or general competency area. TheChapter Lead is responsible for developing people & setting salaries butremain part of Squad & does day to day work.
TheCommunity of Expertise is a group of people that want to share knowledge,tools, code, and practices.
TheMiddleware Engineer is a member of a Squad - itself in a Tribe - , and Chapter.Depending on the need and profile, he / she can also be part of a Community ofExpertise.
As aMember of the Squad, the Middleware Software Engineer contribute to all type of tasks of the team suchas Analyse, Design, Code, Test, Build, Release and Support.
The day today work is done the Agile way following Scrum, Kanban, XP or any other goodbest practices.

As aMiddleware Expert, he / she specifically add value on that technical layer butalways keep in mind the rest of the technical stack as part of the Squadresponsibilities, as part of its responsibilities.
Major responsibility areas
Refine the User Stories and Tasksinto SubTasks doable in less that 2 days by Squad member.
Refine the Acceptance Criteria
Code with the following criteria :
Met the Acceptance criteria with asmuch test automation as possible
Respect Maker / Checker Principle
The Backlog is the Product OwnerReponsibility, but any team member can help him / her :
Generate working software release
Work in a moving context
Having simple and innovativesolutions to overcome problems
Learn and Share both functional andTechnical knowledge
Collectively share responsibility indecisions and implementation of Squad objectives
