    alstom.com / JOB TITLE. Technical Business Development. DURATION. Permanent. MAIN OBJECTIVE. To define best Business development strategy for Digital Solutions with Customer, enabling Alstom to win new market and / or to sell new products to existing customers.

    This person (or team) should be able to become the "interpreter" or "translator" between customers (specially new customers) and technical team, and perform this two-

    way link. MISSION. *Pilots and Projects started with Customers / Partners. *Definition of best Business Model for respective Customer.

  • Accuracy of technical information for the start and the progress of the Pilots / Projects. *Information received to improve roadmap of Digital Solution.
  • Business / Sales growth for new Digital Solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES. *Analyse the market in order to define the Solution strategy and roadmaps.
  • oUnderstand the market and Perform Market segmentation. oCapture new market requirements in order to support the solution roadmap and baselines elaboration -

    Catch Clients out of traditional Group customers. oCapture knowledge on competitors solutions, and Customer Needs and Propose Vectors of Differentiation.

  • Develop Specific Solution Offering for dedicated Customer including System specification and Pivoting roadmap. oPropose strategy orientations and evolutions for targeted Customer / Pilot / Project.
  • oDefine Business case and Business Model. oPropose adapted the Roadmap and Solution Baselines. oDevelop and Update the Solution System Specification.

  • Provide the appropriate technical support during the elaboration and the execution of the Pilots / Projects. oUnderstand Digital Solution Content and Capabilities.
  • oPerform analysis of the needs with the potential customers vs Alstom Digital Solution Capabilities. oFollow Pilot / Project application in order to constantly adapt Developments to the Needs.

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS. Educational Requirements : Mandatory Management and commercial knowledge and experience. Desirable Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

    Desirable Engineer degree or equivalent. Experience : Minimum 10 years of technico-commercial position. Functional Know How : -

    Knowledge new Digital solutions, Transportation systems and / or Smart City. Operational and Leadership Know How : -Fluent in English.

  • Ability to come up with solutions to loosely defined business problems . -Previous job in a start-up or in a position where has demonstrated entrepreneurship skills.
  • Real ability to communicate ideas between customer needs and internal business. ALSTOM Operational Know How : -Winning & Influencing : MANDATORY.
  • Operational effectiveness : MANDATORY. -Risk Management : DESIRABLE. -Ability to make decision / Sense of urgency : MANDATORY.
