Senior Account Manager Clinical Solutions New Madrid, Spain 2 additional locations Spain Barcelona, Spain Sales Elsevier EME000BR Requisition # Apply for Job Share this Job Sign Up for Job Alerts An opportunity has opened within our Clinical Solutions team and we are looking for a proactive, experienced Account Manager (AM) with a track record in selling information tools or medical devices! Senior Account Manager, is a sales role responsible for managing strategic accounts across the Iberian region, responsible for the account management and sales for large consortiums through building and maintaining strategic alliances across the region.

You will be a fully competent strategic Sales Account Manager with extensive sales and health (IT) industry knowledge, responsible for managing and driving sales into Key accounts.

Throughout this role you will work collaboratively with other Account Managers and product teams to identify and capitalize on cross-

selling opportunities between academic, hospitals and affiliated healthcare structures. You will act as the primary strategic account owner towards client and Elsevier stakeholders.

You will be building and managing a professional network of large customers and potential key accounts with excellent knowledge of a high level sales process in an independent and highly professional way.

This role is based in Spain and reports to the Regional Manager Clinical Solutions Southern Europe. Your key areas on this position will be following :

  • New business sales + Use Franklin Covey techniques to understand customers' needs and requirements + Prepare impactful sales presentations and value propositions for each sales call + Make sales calls in identified accounts in order to create customer value for our suite of e-
  • health information products + Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities + Coordinate effective pilot programmes with prospects + Close new business to meet and exceed sales goal(s) + Network in the territory and build a valuable list of key contacts, influencers and decision makers at local, regional and national level + Construct key account acquisition plans for defined accounts + Obtain and communicate internally useful market feedback + Maintain an enhanced level of competitor knowledge + Maintain an enhanced level of product knowledge + Execute the e-

    sales strategy by identifying customers in the territory in combination with marketing and / or sales intelligence + Negotiation and development of complex institutional contracts via tender

  • Account Management + Construct and maintain key account plans for defined existing accounts using Miller Heiman for Strategic Account Planning + Collaborate with the Account Development Manager to grow usage of our Products in existing accounts + Obtain and communicate internally useful market feedback
  • New product launches + Provide feedback and advice to support the development of new e-products + Work with marketing to develop successful go-
  • to-market approaches + Build market share and provide ongoing feedback to marketing, product owners

  • Sales planning and reporting + Maintain accurate and current details of contacts, calls, opportunities, agreements in Salesforce + Use Salesforce to assist in sales planning, territory prioritisation and forecasting + Create a sales plan to be updated, reviewed and implemented quarterly + Provide regular sales reports as required by the Regional Manager
  • Collaboration + Work effectively with Product Sales Managers, product specialists and other Elsevier sales teams, sharing leads, cross-
  • selling + Communicate effectively with Account Support and IES Tech Support. + Provide training / mentoring within own team where requested by manager In order to be successful on this role, you should bring following skills and experiences :

  • Sales experience in the Health sector, 5+ years
  • Experience working with targets on a variable salary framework and with good results
  • Proof of sales planning (using any methodology, recommended Miller Heiman or / and Franklin Covey)
  • Recommended medical devices or background studies in health sciences or else in life sciences
  • Your background is international matrix company
  • Big plus is having connections with high level managers at hospitals or health councils either in public or private sector.
