ONE ERP PROGRAM
Sanofi is engaging into a review program of its current Back-Office and Finance Systems practices through the implementation of a Global ERP (the One ERP project) and Core Models on Finance / Supply chain suite.
The Back-Office and Finance / Supply chain Systems Transformation program aims at :
Enabling Global Business Units (GBU) & Global Functions with AnalyticsCommon analytics by GBU and for Global functions to improve performance and cost managementTransversal data consolidation as well as more granular analysesCommon budget tools by GBU
Facilitating a seamless integration of planning and actual data setting-up automation in reporting to enable Global Shared Services (SBS)Support SBS strategy by implementing an end-
to-end approach (e.g. P2P fully covered by integrated Group solutions from eBuy to AP Invoicing, T&E, etc.)Opportunity to consolidate new activities in Shared Services (e.
g. Master Data Management, Credit Management) and to develop global Shared Services organization models (e.g. T&E)Support reporting factories
Innovating in Supply Chain with state-of-the-art tools : End-to-End Supply Chain Planning solutionStandard Warehousing Management Systems (WMS) and Warehousing Management Systems (WMS) core modelsCustomer Contact Management core models
Simplifying processes and Sanofi users’ experienceState-of-the-art global systems ensuring an end-to-end process integration while providing a simplified user’s experienceMajor changes to reporting or processes handled centrally at onceOne source of truth on master data and a common automated internal control frameworkImproved integration or divestment capabilities through a standardized methodology
The Articulation Program manager will be in charge of operationally leading all the integration topics of the ITS Warehousing and ITS Transportation Programs, and all related activities, under the management of the Distribution ITS Solution Center Head.
CONTEXT & CHALLENGES
Beside the SHIFT program, an IA & SC transformation program is being launched, to support the transformation and the replacement of SC systems, including Distribution (warehouse management system, transport systems) customer service (back office system), articulation with manufacturing systems, and planning systems.
A new Warehousing system (WMS) and a new Transportation system (TMS) will be developed as Core Models and progressively deployed worldwide over the coming years, in strong coordination with new back office deployment roadmap.
These new systems have to :
Be agile to adapt to evolution of portfolio
Serve client expectations (delivery documents dematerialized, etc.), commit to a panel of services, with a promised delivery date and provide visibility on order completion
Integrate seamlessly to supply chain to enable fast delivery to affiliates and clients while maintaining cost optimization
Guarantee good control over operations efficiency and rapid set-up of externalized activities
Innovate and develop warehouse excellence capabilities as well as transportation excellence capabilities
Secure Warehouse Management Systems by replacing obsolete Legacy WMS
Simplify application landscape by implementing one standard tool and remove WCS layer when possible
Enable Shift by removing Warehousing activities from Back-Offices
The new WMS and the new TMS will be built as 2 Core Model systems covering all flows :
Warehousing : Reception, Store, Pick, Pack, Ship, Material Flow, automation integration, and Staging to production (Manufacturing Warehouses)
Transportation : Export, Domestic, direct plant to market flows, and all modes (Sea, Air, Road, Rail).
These Core Models have to be deployable worldwide, and have as well to enable Shift by removing Warehousing or Transportation functionalities from the current Back-Office systems.
Particular challenge will be :
Ensuring harmonization and standards in a core model logic, within various distributed business processes on several systems : PLC management through MFS from EWMWeighting and labelling processes to fully integrate in the overall functional landscapeAssume integration inside and between Transportation and WarehousingEnsure Manufacturing Warehousing integration, global planning integrationEnsure the integration between the Distribution Core Models (WMS + TMS), and the Back-
Office system (Finance + Sales flows)
Bringing Business added value to support business transformation
Tight planning in coordination with new back office deployment
Management of multiple transitions situations
The project will require high mobility to evolve between teams based in Barcelona, Lyon, and in a worldwide context.
Overall Distribution activities functional and technical integration, coordination, planning, and optimization
Budget & resources monitoring, according to the Distribution Solution Center Head.
Vendor and services provider partner relation management
Engineer with industrial culture
15+ year experience in transformation & system program management, as program leader or integration leader
Experienced in meeting facilitation, agile methods, lean IS approach
Strong experience several projects in Warehousing and Transportation processes (or Logistics) using SAP based solutions (e.
g. SAP EWM and SAP TM), with integration in the overall enterprise IT landscape.
