Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel& Spa, Mallorca is located on a cliff and surrounded by pine forestslooking over the fishing town of Port Soller.

The hotel offers two restaurants, four bars, two swimming poolsand a Talise Spa. The hotel is divided into eleven low-rise structures ensuringthat visitors experience a truly exceptional and natural environment.

About the Role :

Anopportunity has arisen for a Banquet Supervisor position to join our Food &Beverage Service department in Jumeirah Port Soller Hotel & Spa.

The main duties andresponsibilities of this role :

  • To followstrictly the Banqueting Procedures as laid down in the Operations Manual.
  • To assist the F&BManager in the engagement of all Banqueting casual staff.
  • Ensure that allcasual / agency workers and other staff receive relevant training in Health,Hygiene, Fire & Safety matters as well as attending a hotel orientation.
  • Liaise withKitchen regarding correct menu, numbers and timings.
  • To participatefully in the team work aspect of the department.
  • To carry out anyreasonable task or project as requested by the Management.
  • Ensure the proper storage and maintenance ofBanqueting equipment in the table store and service corridor
  • About you :

    The ideal candidate forthis position will have the following experience and qualifications :

    Qualification :

  • Essential- BasicFood and Hygiene Training.
  • Desirable- PreviousManagement Courses and Training.
  • Experience

  • Essential-Previous supervisory experience in a similar type of establishment.
  • Skills

  • Excellentlevel of English.
  • Friendly, approachable and professional.
  • Demonstrates excellent supervisory and leadership skill.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Micros.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in working according to the needs of the business.
  • Excellent customer care skills.
  • Knowledge of any other Languages (German) is a plus.
