POSITION : ATC ERTMS Onboard Installation Design EngineerLOCATION : MadridDURATION : PermanentThe Installation Design Engineer takes in charge the technical choices for the installation of a signaling system on board of a railway vehicle.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING : Development of an installation technical file : The quality of the installation depends on the following criteria : Compliance to the installation technical constraints for the objects to be installedThe ease and quickness to install the objectsThe homologability of the file and the activities related to the fileThe genericity of the solutions implementedThe installation file development includes several phases : Identification of the constraints linked with the system and the objectsIdentification of the environment features (survey)Choice of the installation conceptsChoice of the installation components (connectors, support, conduits, etc)Follow-up of the drawings / schematics compositionDevelopment of the methods statements and choices of the tools necessary for the installation execution, identification of the route sheets and statements of work Follow-up of the execution on a first installation (FoC) and adjustmentsTechnical follow-up during the roll-outWrite documents (installation files) allowing to distribute the technical information for execution teams on field.
Coordinate the stakeholders participating in the installation technical file (designers, engineers, project managers) in order to organize the activitiesProvide support to tender activity for installation for the signaling systems : Technical support for the answer to the customer specification concerning installation.
Cost estimation for the installation.Participate to the development of tools and methods linked with installation and commissioning activities in order to improve the installation and commissioning global process.
SKILLS & EDUCATIONEducation : Engineering Degree (Master equivalent or above) within a technical cursus : electricity, electronics, electro-mechanics or equivalent experience in industrial environment.
Experience : -5-7 years with internal experience as OnBoard Railways Engineer o similar in other markets.Competencies : Largely multidisciplinary and polyvalent profile (mechanics, electric)knowledge in development of methods statement for onboard subsystems,Knowledge in computer science allowing to use standard informatic tools (reports) Knowledge on mechanical and electrical design SW such as CATIA or Eplan, EC3Technical knowledge of the railway worldAbility to work with remote contacts in a multidisciplinary context.
Ability to be the representative of the company for our customersRigorous, reliable, autonomousLanguage skills : Good knowledge of English language allowing to collaborate within a technical world in an international context.
