Position Purpose & Summary
The mission of this position is to identify, develop, promote and implement Capital Project Management Best Practices to maximize on investment and consistently deliver on promises.
The main purpose of this position is to ensure that all base and non-base project in the plant are prepared and executed, as optimal as possible, concerning EIA-
aspects, regarding their technical solutions, their investments, their resources in collaboration with other technical departments by taking into account all relevant Cargill rules and local regulations.
65% Project execution
Responsible for the preparation and execution of local base projects concerning EIA issues (EIA covers the areas of electrical, instrumentation, PCS-
process control solution- and communication).
Together with the Plant Engineering Manager, to provide EIA engineering support to the Execution team for all non-base projects when being developed and implemented in the location.
Contribute at the set-up and development of the EIA-masterplan to estimate and prepare projects about data execution, based on the gaps found and the Central guidance.
Ensure that the Plant EIA engineering working in line with EHS, FSQR policies, EIA-, Engineering Lead Practices, operations and local legislation that all listed Policies and Procedures are implemented into the projects.
Ensure the most effective technical solution above certain level.
Manage and coordinate supplier relationship.
Legal & regulatory constraints.
20% Manage the performance of all Plant EIA engineering activities.
Provide EIA engineering resources for the local organization in all relevant EIA engineering issues accordingly to priorities set by the Site Manager, the Plant Engineering Manager and the European EIA Manager.
Training and Development of talents to ensure that the European and Plant EIA engineering organization is fit for propose now and in future.
Selection, hiring and supervision of contractors in the EIA fields.
15% Technical knowledge
Ensure that the Cargill Best Practices, policies and guidelines are kept up to date with lessons learned and experiences from the project.
Share of knowledge within local and / or European peer groups.
Master’s degree in electrical, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering. Preferable Electrical Engineering.
Five years’ experience as EIA project engineer.
Experience with Industrial automation, electrical, instrumentation and the design of such installations.
Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Fluent English (both Verbal and in writing).
Broad knowledge of electrical installations.
Experience in supervision position
Fluent Catalan (both Verbal and in writing).
Willing to work in an international environment as well as in a multifunctional organization.
