ATC On Board Design Engineer

PURPOSSE OF THE JOB
To Develop a fully functional ATC On-Board System Description & Installation Proposal, noticing the differences with standard solution applying the specific rules and requirements for the project, establishing its hardware / software configuration and application data features.
He / she shall develop the interfacing with the rest of systems of the project (TRAIN / TCMS / / MVB / ATP / ATO / ETH) and with T&C team until the commission of the whole system.
Additionally he / she shall liaise with the RAM, Safety and / or V&V for a correct communication of the design requirements and decisions to be assessed, tested or demonstrated.
MISSION AND MEASUREMENT.
Technical Indicators related to project development, change control, configuration, technical documentation, and requirements management.
Is accountable for keeping of Solution or specific engineering processes.
System design (Architecture, Interfaces & Installation)
Technical management (configuration, change control and requirements).
Solve technical issues concerning application project.
Take responsibility for the overall performance of the system and the allocation of the project performance requirements and ensure that these requirements are met.
Control the collection of technical data (Data Book) and keep it up to date.
To participate in the Gate Reviews (give status on system activities).
To support application projects in ATC ONB current and future projects.
Educational Requirements :
University degree (MEng) preferably) in engineering related to electric, electronic or automation processes.
Technical Knowledge / Experience :
3-5 years with with experience as Railways Engineer.
Technical knowledge on both braking systems and performance for different types of rolling stock, including their behaviour under nominal and low adherence conditions.
Experience on braking curves definition
Knowledge on EN13452, EN16185, EN15734 and UIC 544 Standards.
Technical knowledge on general system design.
Desired additional technical knowledge : Signalling, ERTMS, CBTC, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA , system design, Installation design, Installation Verification, Data Preparation.
Desired Knowledge on UNISIG Subsets, specially Subset-026, 108, 027 & 076 is an advantage.
Command of English : fluent in conversation and mastered in reading and writing.
French is desirable.
Windows environment (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
CAD (electric / mechanic) application usage is an advantage.

TERMS & CONDITIONS.
The candidate should be willing to travel.
Availability to work nightshift and weekends (occasionally).
Sometimes travel will be required, in special during the preliminary design and commissioning phase of the project.
