JOB PURPOSE
The role of the QA lead & release manager is to coordinate and oversee the testing activities as well as the end-to-end delivery to ensure the highest quality of the product.
Obsessed with quality, and highly customer-focused, you will be responsible for managing a talented team of QA engineers, and providing hands-on contributions, best practises and leadership to the team.
You will be implementing test strategies, delivery procedures, monitoring the environments, reporting and act as a key liaison between product, development and Users.
You will also lead the Release and Deployment process with planning and orchestrating product release / maintenance activities in production and non-production environments.
To achieve that, you will work closely with cross functional teams including Developers, Product and management teams to plan the releases, analyse risks and dependencies, resolve gaps and ensure the safest deliveries.
With a proven record of working effectively on customer-oriented products, you will manage the Developer support tool to collect and answer requests / feedbacks / issues from the end users.
POSITION & MISSIONS
The QA lead & release manager should be a strong hands-on leader with proven technical expertise and the ability to drive against a high-level test strategy in a complex environment.
He / She will be a strong quality advocate with a good planning and optimization mindset.
In this role you will :
Lead the QA team in implementing and executing the overall Test Strategy and quality procedures
Oversee the development and execution of test plans, monitor and report on test execution
Co-ordinate the product delivery and guarantee the end-to-end quality
Compile deployment tasks into a plan, focused on minimizing system interruption and downtime
Lead the GO / NOGO decision meeting with the different stakeholders
Manage the deployment planning and execution processes via conference bridge
Prioritize and schedule the defect fixing and the patching activities
Manage the Developer support channel providing guidance and help to the users
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support to team members
Drive continuous improvement to increase product quality and enrich the documentation
Your Profile
PROFILE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Experience
University degree (engineer profile) with 7+ years overall experience and 1+ year experience in team management
Experience leading a QA organization of a critical system or application
Demonstrated experience in an Agile / scrum environment
Advanced understanding of testing strategies including technologies for automated testing frameworks
Proven ability to thrive in a matrixed, multi-cultural and global environment
Technical skills :
Excellent understanding of QA methodologies tools and procedures (ISTQB certification is highly recommended)
Strong technical experience with coding, debugging and APIs
Good knowledge and hands-on experiences in the Cloud ideally for both provider AWS and AZURE for such as servers, storage, network, database, distributed applications, cloud security, Docker, Kubernetes, PaaS, SaaS, etc
Deep understanding of automation strategies, solutions and technical expertise
Transversal skills :
Problem solving, strong analytical skills
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a matrix environment
Communication skills (both oral and written)
Considering the multi-cultural environment, a fluent English knowledge in speaking and writing is mandatory.
