The Global Network SME / Architect is responsible for the support, management and maintenance of the organization’s global network technology and services.
This role ensures the stable operation, development, maintenance and support of : LAN / WLAN / WAN network infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud connectivity.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Expert-level, hands on Network communications subject matter expert
Participates in development and driving the adoption of Network and telecommunications standards.
Participates in planning, design, implementation, support, and documentation of the global enterprise data network and telecommunications architecture.
Provides functional and thought leadership for network connectivity.
Integral in the design, maintenance and monitoring of the network systems usage to ensure compliance with corporate security and usage guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Assists in monitorship of existing Network infrastructure performance in collaboration with managed service providers to ensure operating effectiveness in delivering business critical information.
Expected Areas of Competence
Demonstrated expertise with LAN / WAN / WLAN / Telecommunication vendors, providers, equipment, routing.
Foundational subject-matter expertise with data network, telecommunications in a global environment.
Hands on expert.
Able to effectively manage external resources to ensure stable operations.
Able to evaluate and implement compliant technical designs, solutions and change requests in a highly regulated environment.
Able to solve problems independently or through the team, bringing critical incident management and thought leadership.
Evaluates emerging technologies as solutions for global business.
Cybersecurity knowledge preferred
Education / Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Cisco Certification : CCNP Required, CCIE preferred
