Designs, develops, modifies and / or maintains software systems. Serves as an expert on specific Microservices, applications or technologies and deals with complex assignments during the software development lifecycle.
What will your job look like?
You will be working with the latest technologies on an exciting new transformation project in an on site, customer facing team.
You will take ownership and accountability of specific modules within an application and provides technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, problem resolution for critical / complex issues
You will Ensures code is maintainable, scalable and supportable.
You will serve as an expert on specific technologies.
You will present demos of the software products to stakeholders and internal / external customers, using knowledge of the product / solution and technologies to influence the direction and evolution of the product / solution.
You will investigate issues by reviewing / debugging code and providing fixes (analyzes and fixes bugs) and workarounds, will review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions, will highlight risks and will help mitigate risks from technical aspects.
You will bring continuous improvements / efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques, and reusing existing solutions.
By means of automation, reduces design complexity, reduces time to response, and simplifies the client / end-user experience.
You will represent / lead discussions related to product / application / modules / team (for example, leads technical design reviews).
You will be continuously innovating, bringing new ideas and improvement to software and business processes through use of sw engineering tools.
You will create strong customer relationships
All you need is...
6 - 10 years in a SW Engineering role, preferably within the telecoms domain
At least 1 years experience in designing, technically leading projects on Microservices and Cloud
Knowledge of SW best practices (Refactoring, Clean Code, Domain Driven Design, Encapsulation etc)
Ability to translate business requirements or product features into low-level design.
Strong JAVA and J2EE background
Understand and provide technical guidance
Proven experience with web application frameworks like Spring Boot or Drop wizard
Unit testing experience using tools such as Junit &TestNG and mocking tools like Mockito / Powermock
Working experience in NoSQL databases
Proven experience in message queues
Experience with continuous integration (Jenkins), Continuous deployment and Static Code Analysis
Willingness to take ownership of technical solutions and ensure technical expectations of deliverables are met.
