Job summary
The EU Consumer Finance team is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead analysis, business insights and strategy for the EU Consumer Retail business.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence the strategic direction of one of Amazon’s biggest businesses, with a focus on improving growth and profitability.
This position will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including retail finance teams and senior finance leaders.
The role will closely support the quarterly business reviews and goals processes for Consumer leadership. The role will have three direct reports to support data analysis and ongoing reporting, as required.
Candidates should have experience understanding details and summarizing data and messages for senior leadership. A polished professional presence and the ability to influence is critical.
Key job responsibilities
Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its topline growth and overall profitability
Analyze areas of concern identified by business or finance leadership, with the goal of providing actionable insights
Keep business and finance leaders up-to-date on macro trends and analysis done within Amazon
Provide financial results summaries to quarterly business reviews and planning documents for EU Consumer business leadership reviews
Lead goals process, attending reviews with leaders and ensuring quality goal submissions
Ad hoc analysis for Consumer business and finance leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Masters / Bachelor's degree in business, finance, math or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven track record of delivering results for large initiatives with multiple stakeholders
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills
Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate across business teams and make the right calls using data to support decision making
Advanced user of Excel, demonstrated ability to work with complex sets of data
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously and drive projects to completion
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
Able to work successfully in an ambiguous environment
MBA preferred
