The Opportunity

We are looking for a Lean PM to support our teams. You will be responsible for evaluating and assessing opportunities to improve our value streams, recommend and launch new projects with significant impact on the company results.

As PM you will coordinate people and processes to ensure that our projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results.

Mission and Organisational Context

The Lean PM will belong to the Project Management Office based in Barcelona, report to the Head of PMO, and be responsible for assigned projects across the TMC organisation (UK, Australia, Spain).

Many of the projects, but not exclusively, which the PM will be responsible for are process improvement projects.

Role and Responsibilities

Process Improvement Projects - These refer to projects that are designed to improve a process and resulting in improved performance in a key performance indicator of the business.

  • Evaluating data, metrics,and service performance to help designing the improvement areas,producing necessary reports and sharing with Sponsors and other stakeholders
  • Using Process Improvement Methods (For example Six Sigma, Lean, A3 Process and problem solving)
  • Working close with the departments involved in the processes to understand how it works, and to evaluate the improvements later
  • Using the PDCA methodology when implementing the improvements
  • General Project Management

  • Adopting processes & tools from the PMO
  • Coordinating internal resources and third parties / vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensuring resource availability and allocation
  • Developing detailed project plans to track progress in projects
  • Using appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Measuring project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Reporting and escalating to management as needed
  • Managing the relationship with clients(internal or external) and all stakeholders
  • Performing risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties / vendors
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation
  • Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills

    Lean experience You have at least 2 years working experiencewith Lean project management.

    Project Management experience- You have at least 2 years prior experience including best practice training in e.g. Project Management, Business Analytics, Change Management and Operational Management.

    MS Office Strong working knowledge.

    Educational background A university degree such as Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or similar.

    Language skills Very fluent English is a must,Spanish, Swedish or Danish are a plus. As TMC is a multinational and diverse company and our company language is English, you need to demonstrate an advanced level of written and spoken English.

    You are empowering others to self-organise and you are displaying drive and purpose. Building and maintaining relationships is easy for you and you are managing effective teams and groups.

    Strong interpersonal skills Defining situations, documenting data and drawing conclusions are your interpersonal key skills.

    Besides, you are a problem solver, and able to manage conflicts. You are a teamwork promoter.

    Analytical Thinking You are tackling problems by using a logical and systematic approach. Noticing discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information is not a challenge for you.

    You are identifying a set of features, parameters, or considerations to take into account, in analysing a situation or making a decision.

    Approaching a complex task or problem by breaking it down into its component parts and considering each part in detail is your daily practice.

    You re used to weighing the costs, benefits, risks, and chances for success when making a decision. You are identifying many possible causes for a problem and you are also carefully weighing the priority of things to be done.

    Anticipating possible obstacles and the consequences of situations is your common practice. Its your skill to anticipate how individuals and groups will react to situations and information and you are planning accordingly.
