UABOS : Spain - Chief of Environmental Programs
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Responsible for all services related to environmental input to engineering projects including permitting assistance, environmental impact studies, air, noise, water and soil pollution mitigation system design, solid waste disposal system design, and waste minimization system design.
Under broad direction, supervises and leads a group of environmentalist. Sets the technical standards and procedures of a group of environmentalists.
Conducts various aspects of performance management such as performance appraisal or counseling of employees with behavior or technical performance problems and assists in the interviewing, hiring, and assignment of new personnel in the discipline.
Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget. Administrative or supervisory responsibilities at this level include tactical responsibility for supervising environmentalists on all projects requiring this discipline.
Engineering incumbents at this level will usually hold a certification as a Licensed / Chartered Professional Engineer.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES :
Shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or engineering from an accredited college 1941 or university.
Shall have eight years’ experience (4 of the 8 years in supervision) with USAF and DoD environmental operations and programs.
Shall have knowledge and experience with HN FGS and environmental regulations. Experience with Environmental Safety Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Management Program (ESOHCAMP).
Shall be proficient in ACES-PM system.
