As a Legal Counsel you will provide general legal support to BMS group affiliates in the Spain and Portuguese markets, with special focus on pharmaceutical law, commercial law, clinical trial operations and in general providing advice to all functions in line with company and Group policies and procedures and the applicable legislation.
Able to support Compliance function.
Key responsibilities and Major duties :
Provide advice on all legal matters related to the company Business Unit(s); Market Access function (including tenders) and Medical Deptarment, to resolve issues regarding regulatory and commercial topics.
Support the Congress and Marketing depts. in all activities concerning interactions with Health Care Professionals and / or Health Care Organizations.
Keep up to date on all new legislation and jurisprudence on issues of interest to BMS in Spain / Portugal.
Active support and collaboration with the Compliance Lead of the BMS Spain / Portugal organization in the general activities regarding overseeing of the company’s Compliance program
Possess strong business acumen and ability to work effectively and efficiently.
Has excellent interpersonal and legal skills and is able to identify and resolve critical legal issues.
Consistently prioritizes workload based on business needs and communicates clear timelines.
Proactively identifies the need for, prepares and delivers training and other aids for clients.
Excellent verbal and writing skills and business judgment are required (both in Spanish and English), as well as a collaborative work style.
Must have high integrity, ability to assess risk, ability to make decisions and think strategically and have knowledge of applicable legal issues, and possess a strong work ethic.

Key requirements and competences :
Previous experience : proven minimum experience of 5-7 years as lawyer in multinational companies, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Law degree in Spain.
Understanding of the pharmaceutical sector.
Solid and diversified knowledge in the legal field.
Fluency in English.
Developmental value :

Develop a thorough understanding of the needs and legal issues of a pharmaceutical company.
