We offer several positions for students of Electronic Engineering that want to collaborate in mixed-signal VLSI design activities.
The core idea of this project is to produce the first micro-illumination light engines based on GaN LED for a plethora of applications, including microscopy, optogenetics, high-throughput fluorescence analysis, DNA chip fabrication, etc.
The micro-illumination device will consist on a hybrid integration of one GaN chip with the array of LEDs and one Si CMOS chips with the electronics required for the LED driving and interface with the exterior.
The designer will be dedicated to the analog and digital design of the circuits required and to the interface with the foundry and project partners.
Experience is not required although the student must have knowledge of Cadence software, including schematic, layout and verification.
