The team is currently working on the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six® Siege Live Game, Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Assassin’s Creed ® III Remastered.
Ubisoft Barcelona is looking for Senior Technical Artist to join the team for an unannounced AAA PC / Console title.
As a Technical Artist, you will work together with the Art team and the Engine Team assisting in visual tasks with a heavy technical component and supporting both teams and their workflow and pipelines.
Shipped at least 2 AAA title as a Technical Artist.
Deep knowledge about different art creation workflows.
Extensive knowledge about the art pipeline. From content creation tools to engine integration and set-up.
Experience with scripting and plugin programming (experience with Python, C#, C++ or similar programming language; export / import tools, content processors, etc ).
Ability to monitor, measure and understand the technical requirements of art content. (polycount, pixel-texel ratio, drawcalls, shader complexity, etc ).
Extensive knowledge of current engine graphical features.
Proven experience developing in-engine tools for art development (editors, technology, art systems, FX, ).
Modern high level shader languages : GLSL, HLSL, SPIR-V, etc
Proven experience developing complex shaders.
Experience with technical FX set-up (destruction, water systems, procedural FX generation, etc ).
Experience with world procedural generation systems.
Comfortable working independently within a group environment, with a proactive attitude towards problem solving.
Excellent english communication skills.
