Purpose :

Support key business analytical initiatives, working primarily with data analysts across functional disciplines. Participates in the acquisition, cataloging, and harmonization of information aligned with the needs of business stakeholders.

Supports data consumers in understanding information context, generating fit for purpose datasets, and effectively utilizing advance analytic tools.

Responsibilities :

Planning, designing, building and running information management solutions across a variety of technologies (e.g.Palantir Foundry, master data, data profiling, batch processing, etc.)

Consistently deliver projects in a timely manner. Perform routine and complex tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results.

Build a strong data governance framework by working with global and affiliate stakeholders.

Defining and applying information quality and consistency business rules throughout the data processing lifecycle

Collaborating with information providers to ensure quality data updates are processed in a timely fashion

Ensuring appropriate security and compliance policies are followed for information access and dissemination

Enforcing and expanding use of AbbVie Common Data Model and industry standard information descriptions (ontologies, taxonomies, vocabularies, lexicons, dictionaries, thesaurasus, glossaries etc )

Building data pipelines using Spark and Python by preparing, mapping, joining and stiching ingested datasets

Creating data connections to import data from AbbVie internal sources

Ingesting data into Foundry from external vendors using SFTP

Defining and ensuring data quality of ingested datasets by implementing health and content checks

Using programming frameworks / languages like core Spark, Spark Dataframes, Python for data transformation on Foundry

Converting and optimizing existing SQL queries into Spark SQL

Produces and maintains required technical documentation associated with work product.

Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Visualize the information in QlikSense

Experience with Hadoop ecosystem(HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, Hue) and Amazon Web Services preferred.

Team worker while open to remote working

Mandatory skills :

Spark, Python, SQL

Strong Data modeling and Analytics

Qualifications :

7+ years of related work experience. Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.

At least 5 years experience in data processing roles such as data engineer, database developer / administrator, ETL developer, data analyst, BI analytics developer

5 years working in Commertial Pharma Analytics and data modeling role.

5 years of experience with QlikSense

Exposure to Palantir Foundry platform or other data management platforms preferred
