Purpose of the job
The Services Test & Commissioning engineer is responsible to support customer acceptance in due time for the given renovation / modernisation project, comply with T&C Work Package QCD commitments / EHS requirements and ensure REX is provided to Service platforms.
Hierarchical Reporting : Project Manager
Functional Reporting : Production Management
Commissioning & Test
Support inbound inspection and baseline condition test assessment
Implement validation and certification type tests
Support Product Platform for Local Type tests
Perform Serial testing Commissioning and prepare the homologation dossier
Organise dynamic test runs including drivers, interfacing with customer as required.
Maintain the vehicles to ensure their availability for the tests.
Apply 5S at corresponding work areas
To comply with the project’s T&C QCD commitments, acting as Work Package Owner where applicable
Support to prepare and submit routine commissioning reports
Support and supervise the global customer acceptance performance for the T&C scope of work.
To capture and report non conformities to the Leading Unit
To ensure REX is fully taken into account and reported back to the Services Platform
Efficient and transparent interface with the Leading Unit and partner
Ensures EHS and AZDP rules are fully respected in the project T&C scope.
Report Deviations, Near-misses and Accidents
Key Performance Indicators
Customer acceptance ( start of contractual warranty) in respect with contract
Compliance with IFR in accordance to defined standard
T&C Work Package QCD ( to date + estimated at completion vs budget)
Saving action plan in the background of the yearly budget
Degree / Higher National Certificate (or recognised equivalent) in relevant engineering field
Desired Knowledge / Experience
Technical experience and expertise in rolling stock test & commissioning
Excellent trouble-shooting skills
Strong IT skills and use of diagnostic software
Languages : Country language and English
Man management experience, able to motivate others
Excellent communication skills
Logical, pragmatic approach
