As a Legal Business Partner - Spain & Portugal you will be working in close collaboration with the Cluster General Counsel on a variety of local legal matters related to branded, generic and OTC products.
You will also be giving legal support to local teams in both day-to-day and strategic projects and collaborate with the regional EU Legal team in a variety of matters.
Key responsibilities of this role are :
Provide legal support to the Spanish and Portuguese teams on all kind of activities relating to innovative, generic and OTC products, ensuring compliance with local and EU applicable laws and regulations, as well as with Teva policies and procedures;
Proactively identify potential legal risks and assist in implementing strategies to minimize them;
Proactively identify legal opportunities to bring value to the business;
Advise on unfair competition, advertising and general commercial pre-litigation and litigation matters;
Appeals against administrative decisions, tenders, etc.;
Draft and negotiate all kinds of commercial contracts;
Provide advice on competition matters;
Provide advice on data protection matters;
Review and provide legal guidance on promotional materials and activities;
Assist in drafting, reviewing and training management and key personnel on relevant legal policies;
Keep up to date with emerging legal trends in the region;
Contribute and advice on building and designing best legal practices and processes in the innovative, generic and OTC areas;
Preparation of the corporate documentation for the Teva Group companies.
Qualifications / Skills
Law degree (in Spain).
5 / 6 years of experience in legal practice, being three of those in pharmaceutical / life sciences legal practice as in house counsel or in private practice (preferred, not a must).
If you don t have pharmaceuticals / life sciences experience, we are happy to receive your application as long as you have proven GDPR experience.
Solid knowledge of the life sciences field and its dynamic and customer needs (preferred, not a must)
Knowledge in other legal areas will be appreciated (e.g. data protection; tenders and administrative appeals; competition).
Fluent in English.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and strong drive to achieve results.
Excellent team player who can work effectively across cultures and skill levels.
Hands-on, flexible, and adaptable personality.
Demonstrated ability to counsel effectively from a legal and business perspective.
Energetic, hardworking, and proven ability to deal positively when working within tight time pressure & demanding clients.
Willing to travel abroad from time to time.
