Provide guidelines to Pre- sales department to ensure an accurate budget of the maritime portion of the project.
Be active part of the budgeting process for the maritime scope defining the most optimal strategy according to the sourcing, availability of components, project needs and type of vessels per sea lanes, preparing the PLs and documentation package and working with Procurement Central, Presales, Sales and Logistics regions to get binding quotations of the sea freight to be able to fix the sea freight contracts.
Launch Sea freight Tenders when required.
Perform technical validation of the sea freight offers ensuring they are feasible and aligned with the defined strategy and project needs.
Seek for opportunities of improvement and productivity initiatives related to the maritime operations and management
What you need to make a difference :
At least 3 years’ experience in the transportation industry, shipping and maritime business
Good communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
Good knowledge of management principles and practices, organizing and planning skills.
Good knowledge of SAP System, BPM and OASIS / Planning ERP
Academic background :
Tertiary level education or equivalent, preferably in International Trade or Organization
Postgraduate in Logistics, Shipping or Maritime business
Excellent standard of written and spoken English
Highly organized
Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure
Positive attitude
Diligent and patient
A high level of personal drive, perseverance, and logic
Availability to travel. He / she may be required to attend meetings outside the normal working place.
