In an exciting environment the Life Client Senior Accountant acts as the Single Point of contact and ensures the service deliverables are met.

Assume responsibility for a specific group of clients.
Serve as main contact for internal & external customers.
Act as an advisor to the business unit in accounting & reporting related issues.
Contribute in the preparation of the quarterly financial reports to provide an overview of the financial statements.
Ensure quality of data for the quarterly closing.
Check and process the technical reinsurance accounts for our business.
Drive and participate in accounting related projects across divisions.
Corresponding with and advising cedants on accounting and general administration matters.
Conduct client reviews / audits & internal reviews.
Respond to client enquiries accurately and professionally and if necessary, liaise with other departments within MR for support to ensure an efficient and professional response is given to achieve client satisfaction.
Optimize the internal processes with other departments in Madrid and Munich.
Lead and drive implementation of improvements to existing financial processes.
Commit to the department s service standards.
Participate in challenging projects and working groups globally.
Degree in business management or completed business studies qualification and +3 years' finance / reporting / audit experience.
Sound knowledge of reinsurance and accounting, knowledge of reinsurance accounting based on the HGB, IFRS and Solvency II is a plus.
Analytical skills, experience and accuracy in dealing with figures.
Good business knowledge and understanding of various aspects of the business operations and the associated financial dynamics, financial reporting systems.
Aptitude to maintain and improve client relations and negotiating skills.
Expertise in MS-Office, particularly Excel, and in SAP.
Experience in documenting and evaluating processes and internal controls.
Experience in project driven environment and awareness of project management methodology.
Ability to work independently and on own initiative.
Detail oriented, organizational skills and multi-task work.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and managerial skills.
Excellent language skills in Spanish and English. Portuguese is a plus.
Self-confident approach combined with a high degree of dedication to working effectively and independently, willing to face new responsibilities.
